Accelerating Data Value Across a National Community Health Center Network (ADVANCE) is a Clinical Research Network (CRN) that integrates electronic health record (EHR) and community data for patients across the United States in order to strengthen inclusion of populations that can sometimes be hard to reach (e.g., rural populations).
The ADVANCE Clinical Research Network (CRN) is led by OCHIN in partnership with Fenway Health, Health Choice Network (HCN), Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), and the University of Washington (UW). ADVANCE maintains a network of community health centers in order to support and facilitate inclusion of populations that can sometimes be hard to reach (e.g., rural populations). ADVANCE adds value to health outcomes research by curating data sets for researchers.
The ADVANCE Data Warehouse is the nation’s most comprehensive database for the study of health care and outcomes among over 14 million rural and medically underserved patients nationwide. ADVANCE is one of eight large Clinical Research Networks (CRNs) in the Patient–Centered Outcomes Research Institute’s (PCORI) distributed research network, called PCORnet®. The goal of PCORnet® is to create a national network of representative data for conducting clinical outcomes research.
